ON-COURT

Basketball Skill Development

Our basketball “Skills & Drills” sessions will be offered 3x per week. These sessions will consist of 75 minutes of basketball (and 45 minutes of performance), with small groups (no more than a 1:6 coach/player ratio and 24 total participants per session) of similar age groups and skill levels. Curriculum for our skill development program(s) is created by Ross Burns, Founder/Owner of Pro Hoops.

Positional Development

From our “Point Guard Academy” to our “Art of Shooting” classes to our “Block Work” sessions for positional forwards and post players, we will introduce position-specific classes and curriculum so that your child learns to master the position he/she wishes to play.

Art of Offense & Art of Defense

From defensive concepts like ice, hedge and drop coverage, to offensive principles like Flex, Zone, Chin, 3-Man, and ”Pick-and-Roll & Replace” we will introduce your child to basic offensive and defensive concepts to prepare them for middle school, high school & AAU basketball.

5v5 | Game Situations & Pick-Up

On Saturdays, we will offer our "Situational 5v5" Classes, where we will enact real-life game situations, so that your child is prepared for these situations to occur in AAU, Middle & High School Basketball. Examples include:

  • Down by 7 with 2:00 Left
  • Tied Game with :30 Left
  • Up 5 with 4:00 Left

On Sundays, we will offer 5v5 Pick-Up Runs, where your child will get much needed reps alongisde teammates & opponents of similar age and skill level.

OFF-COURT

Performance Training

Each of our “Skills & Drills” sessions will contain up to 45 minutes of performance training in our weight/turf area. Depending on your child’s age/skill level, we will administer an age appropriate curriculum, created by Brian Harrington (Owner of Harrington Performance), that will focus on stretching, agility, conditioning and other aspects to help optimize your child’s basketball performance.

Nutrition & Recovery

These days, young athletes need to focus as much on their habits off of the court as they do on the hardwood floor. Our recovery room (powered by Hyperice) will allow us to introduce youth members to the importance of recovery (curriculum administered by Brian Harrington), and our food/beverage partner, Happier Grocery, will help emphasize to our youth members the importance of a healthy diet, even at an early age.

Film Study

Led by John Carroll (Former Head Coach, Northfield Mount Hermon, Commissioner of the New York Rens), we will teach your child the art of watching film, both their own as well as film on aspirational players and teams.

Performance Reporting

Dependent on the color tier and level that your child is in (Developmental, Foundational, Advanced, Mastery), we will provide a specific set of performance metrics (i.e. pick-and-roll defense, playmaking, court vision) we will expect to develop in order for your child to advance to a new level. Our coaches/trainers will provide semesterly reporting on how your child is progressing with these metrics, with this report accessible through your member portal (desktop and mobile).
