The Game Needs Girls !!

On May 4th, 2025, The Program NYC hosted its first annual Girls Basketball Celebration, co-hosted by 13x WNBA All-Star and 5x Olympic Gold Medalist Sue Bird.

The event took place at Columbia University, and featured a skills clinic for over 100 girls, ages 10-16, from across the Tri State area. Over 50 athletes from both local Nike EYBL programs - Exodus Hoops and New Jersey Gemz - were also in attendance, and participated in a special workshop hosted by Sue.

Following the skills clinic & workshop, we hosted a panel, featuring WNBA legends Sue Bird and Epiphanny Prince, and a select group of women who have made great accomplishments in the world of sport.

Merchandise was provided by Hoop York City and Nike. Feedback from campers, special guests and parents was incredible.

The Program NYC is committed to supporting girls basketball at the highest levels, and we cannot wait to host more activations like this in the (near) future!
